Imagine when the
Bang and Olufsen Beolit 12 (label after the break) came through the double doors of the
FCC’s underground bunker. Seeing the golden honeycomb speaker and faux-Bakelite styling, the technicians all dashed home to slick back their hair and put on sharp suits before subjecting this particular
iPod dock with
AirPlay capabilities to the usual multimeter and rulers treatment we expect from our boys. The top area is hollow to keep your futuristic-looking iDevice from sticking out and ruining the illusion that you’re living in 1964 (did you see the brown leather carrying strap?). Since it’s been approved by the Government, we can only assume it’s not long for these shores, and since it’s a B&O device, we can expect it to retail for four or five times what you’d expect to pay.

Zoho has offered an iOS app for a while now — at least for the iPhone and iPod touch. Those of you who have been wanting to use the Zoho app on your iPad were out of luck, but that’s no longer the case.
Zoho Docs 2.0 has landed in the App Store, and the most notable change is that it’s now a universal app. Now you’re able to take advantage of the app’s mobile productivity powers on your larger iOS device. Retina display support has also been added, as have document sharing options — which you can utilize in both the viewer and collaboration modes.
Just like the basic Zoho service, the app is available totally free of charge. Paid subscriptions get you additional storage space and start at $3 per month for professional use.

These 62 photographs have one thing in common: none of them uses more than two base colors. These two colors in tiny dots produce halftones from which all the gorgeous shadows and highlights derive. They’re simple yet striking. More »

The Google Voice app for Android has received an update in the Market, which brings, among other enhancements, the ability to send text messages to multiple recipients. I love Google Voice and use it every day, but this is one feature I have been missing dearly. I often find myself sending the same or similar texts to multiple friends and familty and it always irked me that Google Voice did not allow this. With today's update, this is no longer an issue.
Here is the full changelog from the Market:
- Prefetch voicemails so they can be listened to even when there is no data coverage
- Allow sending text messages to multiple recipients
- Improved text message notification
Please find links to the updated app after the break.

We knew good and well Klipsch was dabbling in all sorts of various paint schemes when we toured its Indiana-based headquarters in the winter of 2009, and now it seems that one of those prototypes has found a place in the market. The company has just launched the Lou Reed X10i Signature Edition headphones (“coming soon”), a glittered-up version of the X10i that we already feel head over heels in love with. Outside of aesthetics, there’s nothing significant changing here, but the extra $50 will net you a purple inline remote (compatible with Apple’s iOS devices), a screened Lou Reed autograph, a 360-degree mic and a sense of gratification that could only be matched by being elected president of the free world. Or, something like that. Hit the source for a full helping of specifications, but it’s on you to find a safe and legal method for acquiring $399.95.

Compared to the gamut of conversational languages, the programming variety shifts at lighting-fast speed. And next year, a new language will get the official nod from Google, which first introduced Go in 2009. With its new language, Mountain View set out to create a programming environment that’s easier and faster to use, without sacrificing efficiency. Programmers may need to wait until early 2012 for Go to launch out of experimental status, but you can buy that cute Gopher mascot (in furry plush form) over at the Google Store today.
